Lead Sector Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how Lead Sector collects, uses, protects and shares personal information across company profiles, accounts, enquiries, jobs and advertising.

Last updated 15 August 2026

Responsible party and contact

Lead Sector is the responsible party for platform processing. Privacy requests may be sent to privacy@leadsector.co.za. Identity may be verified before a request is fulfilled.

Information collected

We process account identity and contact data, profile submissions, company records, verification evidence, job applications and CVs, solution enquiries, orders, campaign artwork, security logs, cookie choices and communication preferences.

Purposes and lawful basis

Information is used to provide requested services, secure accounts, moderate content, perform contracts, process payments, respond to enquiries, meet legal obligations and pursue legitimate interests in platform safety and improvement. Consent is used where required and may be withdrawn prospectively.

Public and private information

Published profile fields are public by design. CVs, identity evidence, passwords, private account details and unpublished enquiries are not public. Users must avoid placing unnecessary personal information in public descriptions.

Sharing and operators

Information may be shared with authorised employers receiving an application, payment and email providers, hosting and security operators, professional advisers and authorities where legally required. Operators receive only information needed for their service and are contractually restricted.

International processing

Where an operator processes information outside South Africa, Lead Sector applies contractual and technical safeguards intended to provide an appropriate level of protection.

Retention

Account and profile records are retained while active and for legitimate dispute, fraud-prevention and legal periods afterwards. CVs, logs, enquiries, payment records and verification evidence use documented retention schedules and are deleted or anonymised when no longer required.

Security

Controls include hashed passwords, protected sessions, CSRF checks, access control, private CV storage, validation, rate limits, audit records, encryption in transit and security monitoring. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Subject to POPIA, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction or a portable export where applicable. They may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Children and prohibited data

Lead Sector is intended for adults and legitimate business activity. Users may not intentionally submit children’s data or special personal information unless the platform explicitly requests it with an appropriate lawful basis.

Changes

Material changes will be dated on this page and, where appropriate, communicated to account holders.
