Antares CC

Antares CC was first established in 2000 and we have seen over 240 students pass through our doors since then, all coming because of the FGASA endorsed Field Guide Training Courses (also known as Game Ranger courses). Our students, who have travelled specifically to us from around the world, spend 88 days living and learning at our field guide training centre. This is based on the Balule Nature Reserve, a 40 000 hectare “Big 5” reserve; this borders with the world famous Kruger National Park. As the years have developed, so have the courses. These days, there are different qualification levels of guiding that one can aspire too, but for the more traditional students, you can still affectionately referrer to “Guiding” as Game Rangers.
